At CORESIGHT, we do not regard validation and verification as a downstream obligatory exercise, but as an integral part of the development process. With our V&V processes, we ensure that every component, every circuit and every line of firmware meets the specifications.
Particularly in embedded development, where hardware and software are closely interlinked, errors often only become apparent in the interaction of all components. A microcontroller may pass its tests, the printed circuit board its EMC testing – but only the systematic validation of the overall system under real conditions provides the certainty that the product will work reliably in the field.
Our electronics are only handed over to manufacturing after a careful design review has been carried out and passed. This prevents surprises and costly recalls in the field.
With our measurement technology, we test your electronics for critical emissions and interference immunity already during development. This enables us to detect problems at an early stage and address them in a targeted manner. This way you enter the official test laboratory with an already optimised design and minimise the risk of costly rework.
Our pre-compliance measurements include conducted emissions testing, an ESD simulator and near-field probes. The results provide concrete indications of where action is required and form the basis for targeted design improvements. In doing so, you benefit from our many years of experience in electronics design: we do not just measure, but understand the causes and know the effective countermeasures.
We accompany tests with accredited testing laboratories:
Electronics must not only function in the laboratory, but also under the conditions to which they are exposed in later use. Temperature fluctuations, humidity and thermal cycles stress components, solder joints and materials in ways that do not manifest themselves in normal functional tests. With our climate chamber, we simulate these stresses in a targeted manner and test whether your development can withstand the real-world requirements.
The transition from development to series production places particular demands on quality assurance. Every single assembly must be reliably tested – quickly, reproducibly and economically. This is precisely why we develop test fixtures that enable efficient testing in manufacturing. In parallel with the fixture, we develop the associated test software and test procedures.
We implement functional testing, calibration, parameterisation or final inspection in a well-thought-out test concept. The result is a turnkey test system that your manufacturing partner can use directly.
