In this project, CORESIGHT was entrusted with developing a calibration unit for electrical airborne germ collectors (eLKS), which demonstrates improved performance compared to the predecessor product. Technically, there is already quite a lot under the hood of this device. An ultra low power 32-bit Cortex M3 microcontroller processes sensor data, records the airflow and handles communication to the host computer. A bistable display (E-Ink) working with the emWin graphics library was used to display the measurement data. The device is powered by a 9V battery and must handle more than 500 calibrations without a battery change. CORESIGHT was able to achieve the required calibration target here through targeted power saving measures. CORESIGHT was entrusted with realising the complete electronics, the entire firmware and the entire software for this project. The mechanical design, the manufacturing of the mechanical components and final assembly are carried out by the customer or the customer's sub-suppliers. The electronics design was created in Altium Designer, the firmware was created in Keil MDK Arm. The software was developed using Visual Studio. Tasks in the area of electronics:
