We not only optimise your product for reliability, but thanks to our many years of experience we are also able to make your product more cost-efficient.

 

Conceptualisation

We develop the concept for your product taking into account the following sub-areas:

  • Electronics (cost, availability, environmental conditions)
  • Firmware / Software (functionality, libraries, firmware components, performance)
  • FPGA (cost, logic elements, IPs, hard peripherals)
  • Series testing (test time, cost, replicability of test system)

Feasibility Study

In this phase we are happy to examine the basic feasibility of your vision through pre-selection of components, performance testing of components, cost analysis and examination of the available space constraints. This phase usually ends with a functional model / breadboard, in which we can demonstrate the basic functionality and thereby estimate the effort required for a prototype.

 

Prototype Development

CORESIGHT manufactures prototypes mostly "in-house", as this saves development time and initial results become known quickly. We offer the following services:

  • Development and procurement of the printed circuit board
  • PCB assembly carried out in-house
  • Soldering of the printed circuit board in our in-house SMD reflow oven
  • Commissioning of the electronics, electrical testing
  • Design and 3D printing of the housing
  • Procurement and processing of housing / cables / connectors
  • Development and testing of firmware / software

Cost Optimisation

CORESIGHT AG specifically optimises the costs of electronic products without compromising on quality or functionality. Already in the concept phase, CORESIGHT analyses the requirements and identifies savings potential through intelligent component selection and optimal layout strategies. In addition, manufacturing processes and test strategies are examined for efficiency and scalability. Through close coordination with suppliers and manufacturers as well as in-depth expertise in hardware and software development, CORESIGHT enables cost-effective electronics solutions.

EMC Pre-Compliance and Compliance Support

 

We accompany tests with accredited testing laboratories:

  • EN55032 (Radiated and conducted emissions)
  • EN61000 (Harmonics, Voltage fluctuation, Flicker, Electrostatic discharge, Radiated RF electromagnetic field, Burst immunity test, Surge immunity test, Immunity to conducted disturbances, Immunity to power frequency magnetic field, Voltage dips and interruptions, Harmonics and interharmonics)
  • IEC 62368 (Electrical safety)
  • IEC 61010 (Safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control and laboratory use)

 

Industrialisation

Through close collaboration with EMS partners, targeted component selection and forward-looking planning, it is ensured that every development not only excels technically, but is also efficiently manufacturable – in small quantities as well as in large-scale production.

Series Testing

To ensure that every piece of electronics produced performs its intended function correctly, CORESIGHT develops functional test strategies with corresponding test systems. Our test systems load the application into the electronics to be tested and configure the electronics with a serial number and, where applicable, the generated MAC address. Edge cases are specifically tested and all interfaces are validated in detail. In this way, CORESIGHT ensures that every product meets the requirements exactly – reliably, robustly and ready for series production.
