Description

The Smart Metering Gateway "Smart Manager" has a large number of interfaces to cover all possible metering interfaces on the market. This is necessary so that the gateway can be used universally. The device completely replaces existing ripple control receivers, communicates with electricity meters, gas meters and water meters and transmits the corresponding data to the backend.

CORESIGHT was entrusted with realising the complete electronics and the entire test software for this project. The certification according to IEC 62368 was also handled entirely by CORESIGHT. The mechanical design was developed in close collaboration with Kubeg in order to provide a cost-efficient housing. As a development house close to production, the customer rightly commissioned CORESIGHT with the creation of the production test software. Due to the high number of interfaces and the IoT functionality, the test software must cover extensive requirements. Due to the high expected unit volumes of this product, the test must be optimised for efficiency in order to keep throughput time as low as possible. Overview of commissioned services

  • AC/DC power supply with 12W maximum power, +36VDC output voltage

  • Discrete M-Bus host (4 loads)
  • Development of a combination module LTE-M, LTE Cat.4
  • Discrete design of 868MHz RF transceiver for LoRa and Wireless M-Bus
  • Discrete design of 2.4GHz RF transceiver for WiFi and Bluetooth
